Celebrate Medway Day is Back!  Join in for a fun-filled day of activities for all ages on Saturday, July 20th, from 2:00 p.m. -9:30 p.m. at Choate Park and Thayer Homestead. The day is funded in part by the residents, as well as local businesses and clubs, including Medway Lions. “This is a giveback to the town and our surrounding neighbors, so all the activities are free. This is truly a day to celebrate our wonderful town of Medway,” says Chair Carole Bernstein.

The event will feature activities for young and old alike. Popular features coming back this year include the remote control racetrack, a climbing wall, dunk tank and boating on the pond (boats supplied). There will be bingo for all ages in the Thayer House, running at various times in the afternoon and Judy Moffat is back with her colored pencils and new designs.

Kids will enjoy an array of games and fun things to do, such as pony rides, face painting, crafts, multiple bouncy houses including one with an obstacle course, a magician, balloon animals, The Bubble Man, and alpacas.

The popular Watermelon Eating Contest will be back with cash prizes as well as a new Corn Hole Tournament!  The band, Abandon Jack, will be back to play a mix of tunes during the afternoon and concessions and refreshments will be offered at old-fashioned prices, just as we have done in year’s past.  But, don’t leave after having your refreshment. Bring a blanket and some bug spray, and stay to listen to a concert by the Southeastern Mass Community Concert Band at 7 p.m. Fireworks will follow over the pond after dark.

We are excited to bring this community event back this year!  The new, state of the art park along with the Thayer House and grounds are going to be a great venue for all of the activities.
