Road Work Update - July 23, 2021

The Highway Department would like to make residents aware that reclaiming will begin on August 2 (weather permitting) on the following roads: Robin Circle, Richard Road, Meryl Street, Beatrice Lane, and Applegate Road. Reclaiming is expected to be completed during the first and second week of August.

The next phase of the roadwork is scheduled for the end of August/beginning of September. At this time (weather permitting), the roads listed above will get a base layer.

In addition, in the Brentwood area, work is currently being done in anticipation for the final paving. The contractor has completed the work of raising the utility covers and will begin bringing up the remaining water boxes on the following roads: Coffee Street, Ellis Street, Virginia Road, Lee Lane, Douglas Street, Karen Avenue, Carole Lane, and Gorwin Drive. These roads are scheduled to get the final coat (estimated timeframe – end of August/beginning of September).

Autumn Road paving is TBD. Once the road is paved, contractors will finish the sidewalks on Autumn Road, Broad Street, and Village Street.
