Recap of the Select Board Meeting on Monday, May 1, 2023

If you missed Monday night's Select Board meeting, here is a recap of what transpired. The Board authorized a Cultural Council Grant of $8,500, a Student Awareness of Fire Education Grant of $3,781, and a Senior Awareness of Fire Education Grant of $2,077. The Board approved the historical wraps for utility boxes that will be displayed from Medway Block through the historical section of Rte. 109. Each box will have different historical pictures on each side. The Board approved a revised IDEA Committee, which serves in an advisory capacity to the Select Board on inclusion, diversity, and equity issues and will be composed of seven Citizens at Large. Approval of a consultant agreement with Colonial Power Group, Inc. to initiate the electricity aggregation process on behalf of the Town. The Board voted to approve increasing trash fees beginning July 1 from $250 to $280 and to add or increase fees charged at the recycling center. The Board also approved including the proposed water utility billing letter in the next distribution of water bills reminding customers about the continued correction of billing errors in the first and second quarters.
