The tradition is back! The Town of Medway, the Medway Gridiron Boosters, and the Medway/Millis Youth Football and Cheer are hosting a bonfire the night before the Medway-Millis Big Thanksgiving Day Game!

Let's get psyched for the BIG Thanksgiving Day football game! This fun event will take place from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24 on the gravel lot of the Medway Middle School. The bonfire will be lit at 6:30 p.m. and will take place on the gravel lot at the Medway Middle School. The event will start with a few words from John Farrell congratulating the 14u and 12u cheerleaders for making the nationals and the High School teams for their playoff runs. He will then turn it over to Coach Mazzola for more remarks on the season and Big game!

Medway Fire Department will be supervising the fire and maintains the right to cancel due to weather or a shift in winds etc. Safety is of the utmost importance to all.

A few important points to remember to help make this a great and safe event for all:

1) There will be NO on-street parking along Holliston Street or adjacent streets to the Middle School. This will provide for emergency vehicle access and as a courtesy to all neighbors. Please use parking lots at the Middle School (including Kelly St. Lot), and the Burke/Memorial School lots. Please DO NOT park on any grass surfaces to help prevent damage to fields and lawns

2) Parents are asked NOT to drop off kids at the event. Please enjoy the event with your son or daughter in a true family atmosphere.

3) It goes without saying, but as a reminder, there is absolutely NO smoking or drinking on school property or on public ways.

4) Medway Police will be on hand to assist with traffic and security.
