Makerspace Grand Opening at Medway Public Library

On Saturday, June 25 Medway residents, members of the Board of Selectmen, Representative Jeff Roy, and others joined the staff and Friends of the Medway Public Library to celebrate the grand opening of the new Makerspace.

For the uninitiated, Makerspaces are creative, DIY spaces where people can gather to create, invent, and learn.  The Medway Public Library was fortunate to receive a 3-D printer and scanner, new computers and video cameras from the wonderful folks at Medway Cable Access Television.

The space also includes:

  • A 3-D printer, software, and Mac computers;
  • CAD software and design software on a dedicated Mac computer;
  • Sewing machines;
  • Loom;
  • Tool bench and tools including soldering irons;
  • Crafting and hardware supplies;
  • Drone;
  • Green screen and more!
