Happy National Dogs Day! (Thursday, August 26)

post

Happy National Dog Day from some of the DPW pups! Celebrate with treats, belly rubs, a nice walk, but don’t forget to SCOOP THE POOP! Bacteria and other parasites found in pet waste, such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium, can survive for long periods when left on the ground. Not only is it unpleasant to step on or see on a walk or in your yard, but during rainstorms, these pollutants can be washed into local rivers and ponds and into local drinking water supplies. So remember, DO YOUR DOODY for people, pets, and the environment.
