Department of Environmental Protection's (MassDEP) Drinking Water Program Awards Medway Water Department for its Outstanding Per

Congratulations to the Town of Medway's Department of Public Works! The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection's (MassDEP) Drinking Water Program recently recognized Medway's Water Department for its outstanding performance in 2022. Pete Pelletier DPW Director, and Barry Smith Water Superintendent, were invited to the Massachusetts State House on May 11, 2023, to accept the certificate of award. The Award recognizes the Town of Medway in the Water Conservation category of the 2023 Public Water System Awards Program. We are proud of our team and the work that they do each and every day!

The letter states that for a system to be awarded, the system must be subject to the Water Management Act requirements and have met 65 RGPCD and 10% UAW standards, implemented at a minimum mandatory water use restrictions, have websites showing conservation-related information, conducted an M36 Water Audit, and have not won in the past three years.
