West Street Bridge Repairs to Start on July 28 thru September

post

Update - Residents should be aware that preparation work is currently being conducted in the area of the West Street Bridge. Before the official work can begin (scheduled for July 28), there is some preparation work that needs to be done. The prep work consists of silt fencing and control measures to prevent impacts to the waterways around the bridge. There is a possibility of some partial road closures between now and when the actual bridge work begins. Thank you for your patience.

Work on the West Street bridge (located between Millbrook Road & Holbrook St) on West Street will begin on July 28. Bridge repairs will start in and around July 28 and continue until the beginning of September. Work includes removal of asphalt layer and repairs to the concrete structure along with waterproofing and final paving. New guardrails will be installed and the banks along the slopes will be stabilized.

Please expect detours to be in place by Medway Police Department during the entirety of the projects. Letters are being sent to residents in the area.
