Virginia Road Paving

Because of the poor condition of Virginia Road and the traffic it handles, the Department of Public Services will perform an overlay paving in early May. Once Highland Street is completed, the contractor will re-mobilize on Virginia Rd. The road actually requires more substancial work, however, current plans call for water main replacement in this area within the next 1-2 years. A complete rebuild is planned at that time.
The overlay is a simple process and will be completed within 1-2 days. Paving is extremely weather dependant and schedules may be adjusted accordingly.
