Medway Parks and Recreation Fishing Derby

The Medway Parks and Recreation Department is partnering up with the Medway High School fishing club and will hold its First Catch and Release Fishing Derby from 7 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, at Choate Park. All ages can participate in the derby. Free bait will be provided as long as it lasts, but participants must bring their rod, tackle, and bucket. Awards will be awarded in categories including but not limited to: Most Fish Caught, Most Unusual Catch, and Biggest Fish. Prizes and awards will be announced at 10 a.m. Contact Jharrington@townofmedway.org for more information. There is no charge for the fishing Derby. The event will be held rain or shine.
