UPDATE OF ADDITIONAL USEFUL INFORMATION:
By Town bylaws, The Town of Medway is obligated to meet a quorum (50-Special Town Meeting, 100-Town Meeting). At this point, the Legislature has not provided relief and it is uncertain we will get that by Monday.
Town Officials are meeting on Monday morning to layout a safe meeting plan which will include all attendees to wear masks, distance seating, safe distancing practices for check-in (residents are encouraged to come early as the check-in process may be lengthy with long lines outside. Additional safety practices will include hand sanitizers in the lobby, ventilation systems will be active, exterior doors open for fresh air flow, and overflow rooms for separation.
The Annual Town Meeting is Monday, June 8th. A Special Town Meeting will be held at the Medway High School, 88 Summer Street at 7:00 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the Annual Town Meeting at 7:30 p.m. Social distancing protocols and other health and safety measures will be in place.
Special Town Meeting for financial matters related to Fiscal Year 2020 closeout, COVID-19 funding, and funding necessities. REQUIRES MINIMUM OF 50 PEOPLE.
Medway Annual Town Meeting to fund our Fiscal Year 2021 budget, to approve critical programs and infrastructure improvements, approve water main replacements in Brentwood, purchase of land adjacent to Populatic Well, and other essential funding & operational needs. 100 PEOPLE REQUIRED FOR A QUORUM.
