Medway Fire Department Acquires New Lifeline Ambulance

Medway Fire Department has acquired a 2016 Lifeline Ambulance.  It utilizes a Ford F-550 cab and chassis that has a liquid spring suspension to provide a smoother ride for patients in the back, along with four wheel drive.  I has a power load stretcher system that is safer for both the patient and EMTs.  The stretcher is electric and lifts utilizing a motor rather than the EMTs lifting it reducing the chances of the stretcher tipping over and back injuries to the EMTs.  Additionally the new state regulations require the stretcher be more secure in the ambulance so it does not become dislodged in an accident.  The interior of the truck has been designed in a way that allows for more efficient delivery of treatment to patients requiring Advanced Life Support, and better utilizes space for better efficiency.  There are also several outlets throughout the truck to plug in medical devices and things such as computer tablets.
