Demolition By-law FAQ's
Does Medway have a demolition by-law?
Yes. Before you can tear down an existing property you will need to fill out a demolition request form and submit it to Town Hall.
What is a demolition by-law?
A demolition by-law gives the town opportunity to protect an historic or otherwise significant property before it can be torn down. If the demolition by-law goes into effect, there will be a 9 month delay before a demolition can take place. That allows the town the opportunity to share with the homeowner and the community the significance of the property.
